Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

If bored, feel free to follow me on Twitter @madcatdisease

Free power toothbrushes, free mouthwash, and cheap clinical deodorantat CVS!

Check your email! Yesterday I received a free $3 "Summer" CVS Extra Bucks reward! Pretty sure they went out to just about everyone. I decided to take advantage of a few new deals today. The free reward made it so that I only had to pay tax on four clinical deodorants, two power toothbrushes, one mouth wash and one body wash! (Hopefully you got the body wash coupon from the MinuteClinic Facebook page last week!)

Here's what I did:

Bought 2 Oral-B Cross Action Power Toothbrushes, 1 ct $5.99 each, regularly $8.49 each
Buy 1, Receive $2.00 Extra Bucks, Limit 2
Bought 1 Colgate Total Mouthwash 500 ml $4.99, regularly $5.79
Buy 1, Receive $2.00 Extra Bucks, Limit 2
Used $3/$15 oral care purchase CVS coupon that previously printed from Magic Coupon Machine (didn't print for everyone)
And used 2 $3.00/1 Oral-B Adult Battery Toothbrush or 3D White Action Rechargeable Toothbrush from PG 6/2
And used 1 $2.00/1 Colgate Mouthwash, 8 oz or larger from SS 6/2
And used 1 $1.00/1 Colgate Total Mouthwash CVS coupon (CVS.com)
Paid $4.97, Received $4.00 and $2.00 Extra Bucks
Final Price: $1.03 MONEYMAKER

Bought 1 CVS Body Wash 12 oz $2.37, regular price
Used 1 Free Item Coupon from MinuteClinic's Facebook page (no longer available)
Final Price: Free

Bought 4 Secret Clinical Deodorant $4.00 each, regularly $9.99 each
Buy 4, Receive Coupon for 5th One Free
Used 4 $3.00/1 Secret Clinical from SS 5/19
Final Price: $4.00 ($1.00 each) for 4, Will submit for Free Secret Clinical Coupon

$65.10 Shelf price
- 26.37 Coupons
- 29.76  Discounts
=$8.97 Out of pocket cost
-   6.00 Extra Bucks received
=$2.97 95.4% savings off shelf price

What I actually paid: $8.97 - $3.00 Summer Extra Bucks - $5.00 previous Extra Bucks + $1.88 sales tax = $2.85 paid out of pocket. Walked away with $6.00 in new Extra Bucks and will receive free deodorant coupon

Net Cost: $1.85

  1. Mostly people think that reverse periodontal disease treatment is expensive. That is why several patients decline treatment for periodontal disease due to the expense.
