Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

Harris Teeter Super Double Coupons, Trip 1

"What do you mean that cat food isn't for us?!"

Oh yeah, so Harris Teeter is doing super doubles this week. I've known this since yesterday but have been too busy to tell you. Stupid job. ANYWHO, so I get to the ol' Hairy Titty today around 10pm, only to be told that they're closing to wax the floors! WTF?! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN 24 HOURS, HAIRY TITTY! But they were like if you're quick, you can run in and do your thang.

I felt like I was on Extreme Couponing, you guys. Running up and down the aisles grabbing things. It ended up working out for me because the cashier was in such a hurry checking me out that I got some overage I shouldn't have gotten when coupons wouldn't scan. Oh well, THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR WAXING YOUR FLOORS, HARRIS TEETER! How dare you keep your store nice and clean for your customers???

Seriously though, watch for beeping coupons and watch to make sure everything doubles correctly. I know several coupons beeped throughout this transaction, but we were working so fast to get me out of the way before I got run over by a waxing machine that I don't remember which ones exactly. Well, some, but not all.

Here's what I did:

Bought 2 Cat Chow Healthy Weight 3.15 lb 2/$5.79, regularly $5.79 each
Used 2 $1.75/1 Internet printable coupons (CouponNetwork.com - watch the video first)
Final Price: 2 Free

*You'll only get 1 $1.75/1 coupon per computer*

Bought 2 Folgers Single Serve 7 ct $1.25 each, regular price
Used 2 $1.50/1 Internet printable coupons (bricks.coupons.com)
Final Price: 2 Free (actually $3.50 MONEYMAKER)

*This coupon beeped and had to be entered manually. In the rush the cashier doubled both of them, causing massive overage. Your mileage may vary.*

Bought 1 Hormel Compleats (steak) $1.35, regularly $2.69
Bought 1 Hormel Compleats (spaghetti) $2.00, regularly $2.69
Used 2 $1.00/1 manufacturer coupons from SS 5/5
or 2 $1.00/1 Internet printable coupons (Coupons.com)
Final Price: 2 Free

*I feel like these were all marked 2/$4.00, but for some reason the steak ones rang up at BOGO Free. Either way they're free with coupon.*

Bought 2 Febreze Air Effects $2.99 each, regularly $3.39 each
Used 2 $1.50/1 manufacturer coupons from RP 5/19
And used 1 $0.50/1 ZVR coupon

Used 1 $1.00/1 manufacturer coupon from SS 5/5 (regional; would have to be ordered)
Final Price: Free

Bought 1 Kikkoman Soy Sauce 10 oz $2.00, regularly $2.35
Used 1 $1.00/1 Internet printable coupon (SmartSource.com)
Final Price; Free

*This coupon beeped and had to be manually entered. Also, this is the slightly larger bottle; not the tiny one we always get for free during Super Doubles.*

Bought 2 Balance Bars 1.00 each, regularly $1.45 each
Used 1 $1.00/2 manufacturer coupon from RP 5/12
Final Price: 2 Free

Bought 1 Bear Naked Fit Cereal 12.4 oz $2.99, regularly $4.79

Final Price: 2 Free

Bought 1 HT Farmer's Market Gallon Tea $4.49
Bought 1 HT Farmer's Market Tea/Lemonade $2.49, regularly $3.49

*I normally wouldn't even include these as a part of my couponing, but as you'll see I ended up with overage that applied to these items. It's always a good idea to have some room in your transaction for overage at HT, just in case.*
