Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

My Massive Sunday Haul, 2/10/13

SO. MUCH. CANDY. I cleaned up at CVS and Rite Aid. I did better than it looks at Walgreens by using the rest of my $25 prescription transfer gift card as well as a P&G Crest rebate $15.00 gift card.

The way I did the Hershey's deal was crazy. Turns out the deal does have a limit of 2 instead of 1! Yay! So I took advantage. Remember when the Simple Pleasures first came out and there was a high-value $2.00/1 manufacturer coupon for them? CVS had two sales in a row: The first sale was 2/$5.00, Buy 4 and Receive $1.00 Extra Buck. The second sale was just 2/$5.00 (no Extra Buck). I got a raincheck for each one of those sales and saved them. I redeemed them today and double dipped with the current promotion, scoring some almost free candy! I cashed in the rainchecks at different stores as I didn't feel like explaining to the cashiers that they were from two separate and distinct sales from different sales periods. I hate explaining shit to cashiers, man.

I also earned my $20 Anniversary +Up Reward at Rite Aid already this month! CA-CHING!

One note on my Walgreens trip: In retrospect I should have bought the 2 Listerines together. I would have received a $4.00 Catalina, and I would have needed one less filler for my last transaction. CURSE YOU, HINDSIGHT!

As others are stating, the $10.00 coupon did beep (I had it scanned first before the manufacturers, so it wasn't due to overage as some are theorizing), but the shift supervisor checking me out overrode it.
