Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

Great deal on Calgon bath beads (with or without coupon)

There's a great deal on Calgon bath beads this week. Well, great if you already printed the $1/1 coupon that was available last night. But if you didn't, it's still a pretty good deal.

Here's what I did, and below that what you can do if you don't have the coupons.

Bought 4 Calgon Bath Beads, 12 oz $2.99 each, regular price
BOGO 50%
Buy 2, Receive $4.00 +Up Reward, Limit 2

Used 4 $1.00/1 Internet printable coupons (no longer available to print)
Paid $4.98, Received 2 $4.00 +Up Rewards
Final Price: $3.02 MONEYMAKER

$ 11.96 Shelf price
- 4.00 Coupons
- 2.98 Discounts
=$4.98 Out of pocket cost
-8.00 +Up Rewards received
=$3.02 MONEYMAKER

What I actually paid: $4.98 - $4.00 in previous +Up Rewards + $0.54 sales tax = $1.52 paid out of pocket. Walked away with $8.00 in new +Up Rewards.

Net Cost: -$2.48

If you don't have the coupons, it'll work like this:

Buy 2 Calgon Bath Beads, 12 oz $2.99 each, regular price
BOGO 50%
Buy 2, Receive $4.00 +Up Reward, Limit 2

Pay $4.48, Receive $4.00 +Up Reward
Final Price: $0.48 ($0.24 each) when you buy 2
