Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

LAST MINUTE DEAL: The perfect way to do the P&G deal at CVS this week (or how I got 16 bottles of Pantene for $0.32 each!)!

If you're one of those people who somehow magically get lots of coupon inserts every week, lucky you! I hate you. Also, this deal is for you. As for me, I spent $3.06 on eBay to purchase 20 of the BOGO Pantene coupons that ran in the SS 9/16 insert. That comes to $0.16 per coupon.

I used 8 of them ($1.28 worth) to do a crazy moneymaker at CVS, where the limit on the Spend $30 Get $10 EB P&G deal is actually 2, not 1! I still had 4 $1.00/1 manufacturer coupons that came from inside previously purchased products, and I found 4 more taped onto the Pantene Beautiful Lengths products in the store. But if you don't have any of these special coupons, there's also a $1.00/2 Pantene coupon in the PG 9/30 insert.

Here's what I did:

Bought 16 Pantene Shampoo, Conditioner 12.6 oz or Styler, 5.7-11.5 oz $4.00 each, regularly $4.99 each
Spend $30.00, Receive $10.00 Extra Bucks, Limit 1 2!
Used 8 B1G1 Pantene shampoo, conditioner or styler free up to $6.99 from SS 9/16 (took off $6.99 each)
And used 8 $1.00/1 manufacturer coupons from previous product inserts/taped onto product at store
or use 4 $1.00/2 manufacturer coupons from PG 9/30
Paid $0.08, Received 2 $10.00 Extra Bucks
Final Price: $19.92 MONEYMAKER ($15.92 MONEYMAKER with 4 $1.00/2 coupons)

$79.84  Shelf price
- 63.92  Coupons
- 15.84  Discounts
=$0.08  99.9% savings off shelf price (BEFORE Extra Bucks earned!)
+  3.84  Sales tax
+  1.28  Cost of coupons I purchased
=$5.20  $0.32 per bottle!

Oh, and I walked away with $20 in Extra Bucks. What WHAAAAT?!
