Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

LAST MINUTE DEAL: Cheap haircare and vitamins at CVS!

Hungry like the wolf...

So I misread another blog site the other day and thought that the Dove haircare deal at CVS started next week, but learned today that it was actually THIS week! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I hadn't paid much attention to it before as it wasn't that impressive until the $2.00/1 coupon came out. So I went there tonight to do that deal as well as the NatureMade BOGO deal, which along with the $2.00/1 PDF coupon and the $4.00/$10.00 CVS coupon that's been printing from the magic coupon machine this week makes for some cheap/free vitamins/minerals!

Here's what I did:

Bought 5 Dove haircare products 2/$6.97, regularly $4.99 each
Spend $15.00, Receive $5.00 Extra Bucks, Limit 1
Used 5 $2.00/1 Internet printable coupons (Walmart.com)
Paid $7.43, Received $5.00 Extra Bucks
Final Price: $2.43 ($0.49 each) for 5

Bought 4 Nature Made Magnesium $5.49 each, regular price
Used 4 $2.00/1 Internet printable coupons (RiteAid.com)
And used 1 $4.00/$10.00 CVS coupon from magic coupon machine
Final Price: $1.02 MONEYMAKER (applied to rest of transaction)

In separate transaction:

Bought 2 Nature Made Stress B-Complex $10.49 each, regular price
Used 2 $2.00/1 Internet printable coupons (RiteAid.com)
And used 1 $4.00/$10.00 CVS coupon from magic coupon machine
Final Price: $2.49 ($1.25 each) for 2

$67.89  Shelf price
- 28.99  Discounts
- 30.00  Coupons
=  8.90  Out of pocket cost
-   5.00  Extra Bucks Received
=  3.90  (94.3% savings off shelf price)

What I actually paid: $8.90 - $8.90 in previous Extra Bucks (1 $1.00 Extra Buck rounded down to $0.90) + $1.02 sales tax = $1.02 paid out of pocket. Walked away with $5.00 in new Extra Bucks.
