Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

Cheap or moneymaker Right Guard body wash at Walgreens!

If you printed the $3.00/2 Right Guard coupons from Coupons.com a couple of weeks ago, don't forget to use them at Walgreens this week, where you can make money buying body wash (or deodorant)! They're BOGO Free, and if you buy 4, you get a $4.00 catalina! But even if you didn't print the coupon back then, you can print a $2.00/2 coupon now (zip 78250) that will make for some cheap bodywash at least.

Also, some people are reporting that they are finding some bodywashes or deodorants at clearance prices, which could make for a moneymaker deal even with the $2.00/2 coupon! The catalina should print out with the purchase of any 4 Right Guard body washes or deodorants, even if they're on clearance.

Also, several varieties of Scotch bubble mailers are on sale for 39 cents this week, even one that retails for over 2 bucks. And you don't even need one of those stupid in-ad coupons to get the price! I frakin' hate those. These make great fillers, especially if you tend to mail your couponing surplus off to family members like I do.

I did this transaction twice, and used 2 of my $3.00 Register Rewards from the Colgate deal last week:

- Bought 4 Right Guard body washes $4.49 each, regular price
Buy 4, Receive $4.00 Catalina, limit one per transaction
Used 2 $3.00/2 Internet printable coupons (no longer available)
Paid $2.98, Received $4.00 Catalina (which is just like a Register Reward)
Final Price: $1.02 MONEYMAKER

- Bought 1 Scotch bubble mailer $0.39, regularly $2.19 (filler)

- Used 1 $3.00 Register Reward from previous shopping trip

Paid $0.37 + $0.57 sales tax = $0.94, Received $4.00 Catalina

$40.30  Shelf price (for both transactions combined)
- 21.56  Discounts
- 12.00  Coupons
=  6.74  Total out of pocket cost
-   8.00   Catalinas received
=  1.26   MONEYMAKER

What I actually paid: $6.74 - $6.00 in previous Register Rewards + $1.14 sales tax = $1.88 paid out of pocket. Walked away with $8.00 in Catalinas, $2.00 more than I spent.

If you use the $2.00/2 coupons, your scenerio will look like this:

Buy 4 Right Guard body washes or deodorants $4.49 each, regular price
Buy 4, Receive $4.00 Catalina, limit one per transaction
Use 2 $2.00/2 Internet printable coupons (Coupons.com - 78250)
Pay $4.98, Receive $4.00 Catalina (which is just like a Register Reward)

Final Price: $0.98 ($0.25 each) when you buy 4

Not too shabby.
