Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

Harris Teeter Super Double Coupon Shopping, Day 4

I'm just gonna give the two people who actually read this a heads-up right now: There will be no Sunday trip to Harris Teeter. By the end of Saturday, all the shelves are completely cleared of any decent sale items. For instance, those V8 smoothies that were in abundance at Park Potomac yesterday? GONE. (The $1/1 coupon that ran in this Sunday's paper didn't help any, I'm sure). So after Saturday I tend to wait until Monday night to shop again; hopefully by then the store I visit will have been able to restock from the MADNESS that is Saturday grocery store mass shopping.

On the bright side, we did get a few new matchups from this Sunday's newspaper coupons! But not as many as I had hoped. :-(

I ended up visiting two stores Saturday to compile this gathering. Damn bare ass shelves.

Bought 2 Dear Park sparkling waters, $1.19 each, regular price
Used 2 $1.00/2 coupons from RP 1/8

*For some reason, this coupon, even though it's supposed to be $1/2, would only double up to $1.19, the cost of 1. Rather than adjust the coupon, management felt more comfortable having me take 2 of the 4 waters I bought off the order. So I only bought 2 but used 2 coupons, resulting in 2 free products! I'm assuming their computers will continue to make the error; thus I'm using this scenario*

Bought 1 Smart Balance milk, $3.00, regularly $3.99
Used 1 $1.50/1 coupon from SS1 1/8
