Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.

If bored, feel free to follow me on Twitter @madcatdisease

Note: Nothing on this site should be construed as legal advice. Trust me, you can find a better lawyer ANYWHERE.

Harris Teeter Super Double Coupon Matchups 1/4/12

SUPER DOUBLE COUPON
MATCH-UPS

This is what I have so far. I'm hopeful to find more as the week progresses.

Basic rules:
1) Coupons with a face value up to $1.98 will generally double. There are always exceptions.
2) You can double up to 20 coupons a day per VIC card.
3) You can use more than 20 coupons a day; they just will stop doubling after 20. If you have coupons that wouldn't double anyway, they don't count toward the 20. Sometimes cashiers get confused about this and try to limit you to 20 total. Consult with a manager; they usually know the distinction.

Here is the coupon policy. Print it out and take it with you.

NEW MATCHUPS FROM 1/8 INSERTS:

Smart Balance milk, $3.00, regularly $3.99
-1 $1.50/1 coupon from SS1 1/8
=FREE

Deer Park sparkling water, $1.19, regular price
- 1 $1.00/2 coupons from RP 1/8
=FREE

*For some reason, this coupon, even though it's supposed to be $1/2, would only double up to $1.19, the cost of 1. Rather than adjust the coupon, management felt more comfortable having me take 2 of the 4 waters I bought off the order. So I only bought 2 but used 2 coupons, resulting in 2 free products! I'm assuming their computers will continue to make the error; thus I'm using this scenario*

Pack of Bic Pens, $1.97 each, regular price
-$1.00/1 coupons from SS2 1/8
=FREE

*WARNING: This coupon did not double automatically, but management doubled it for me.*
