Welcome to an irreverent, not-at-all comprehensive blog about my couponing exploits in Montgomery County, Maryland, with some annoying cats sprinkled about. Try not to step on them; they get ever so cross. Also there may be some law stuff here and there, but not too much, because most law stuff is boring.
If bored, feel free to follow me on Twitter @madcatdisease

Last-Minute Moneymaker on Nivea lip balm at Rite Aid!
Rite Aid currently has Nivea lip balm on sale for $2 each (if you buy 2 or more). If you spend $20 on Nivea products, you receive a $10 Up Reward, Limit 2. This sale ends TODAY. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Today if you pick up some early Sunday coupon inserts, you will find a $3/2 Nivea lip balm coupon in the Red Plum insert! I get two papers delivered, and used a $6 Extra Buck at my local CVS to buy 3 more at $2 each. Then I went to Rite Aid and did this:
NOTE: Technically Rite Aid's corporate coupon policy limits the use of like coupons to 4 per shopping trip. If you're like me and have a local Rite Aid that lets you use more anyway, good for you. But if your Rite Aid wants to enforce the policy, don't argue with them; just go to a second store. Your total will tally on your card, so you can do this deal in multiple transactions at multiple stores if you need to. Don't be a coupon bitca!
$ 20 Purchased 10 Nivea Lip Balms, $2.00 x 10
- 15 Used 5 $3/2 coupons
=$ 5 Paid out of pocket
+$10 Up Reward received
=$ 5 Moneymaker!
Best of all, no sales tax on these items!
